Electoral Bonds Database

.This database is an attempt to understand and track the donations to political parties in electoral bonds – to create a timeline of who donated and when. For this, we’re collaborating with MLExperts.ai, who specialize in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data science solutions. You can find them here: https://mlexperts.ai/

The analysis is based on the data released by the Election Commission on 14 and 21 March 2024. A timeline is visualised of these political donations and relevant events, such as election dates, reports on raids and contracts sanctioned. This is a work in progress and we’ll keep updating the tracker with more layers.

*Methodology:
  • Data and visualisations include company names, total amount donated, information on raids by gov’t agencies, contracts awarded, and elections conducted.
  • Names of the company and total amount donated were extracted from PDFs released by the Election Commission on 14 March 2023.
  • Raids, contracts awarded, and other relevant news were gathered using GPT-4 with internet access, DuckDuckGo search API, and Bing search API.
  • GPT-4 with specific prompts, DuckDuckGo, and Bing search APIs were utilised to extract news reports and information on raids, contracts, and other relevant news.
  • Outputs from the three sources were consolidated, and the most accurate results were manually selected for use in the dashboard.
*Limitations:
  • While efforts were made to verify and cross-reference data from multiple sources, minor inaccuracies in dates, descriptions, and referenced web links may occur.
  • The information provided may not cover all noteworthy events related to raids, contracts, and relevant news concerning a company.
  • The dashboard’s information allows for preliminary correlation analysis and requires further detailed examination to determine causation.
