What The Reporters' Collective does, & doesn't.

We are a non-profit newsroom focused on investigative journalism. We are not a typical full-stack independent newsroom. We are a small team of skilled journalists who produce only rigorous reportage. Therefore, the detail in each story matters to us & carries immense responsibility from scratch to publishing, & after.

To help these stories travel longer & further, we are looking for a Video Producer & Social Media Manager who enjoys turning intense reportage into simple-to-tell video stories.

§ Duties of the position

What you would do at the Collective.

i.Turn complex investigations into accessible, high-impact & engaging multimedia formats that reach wider audiences.
ii.Manage & grow our social media presence.
iii.Shoot, edit, & produce videos end - to - end.
iv.Work closely with reporters & editors to amplify every story across platforms.

¶ The applicant should bring

Skills & experience required.

Video editing & motion graphic editing skills.
Experience creating Reels, Shorts, & long-form video content that performs well.
Good at Social Media platforms, & their working.
Good fundamental experience in the news & journalism space.
Ability to work in an intense newsroom & handle sensitive investigative material.
Comfortable with reportage that involves a fair amount of data.
Fluency in English & Hindi (spoken & written).
