Safeena Wani is a journalist based in Kashmir and Ladakh with nine years of experience in multimedia. She is Rukhmabai Fellow - 2024, Earth Journalism Network Fellow - 2025 and Just Transition Research Centre grantee - 2025.  She has reported on conflict, politics, gender, health, climate change, migration and border issues. Her work has appeared in several national and international platforms like Mongabay, Waging Non-violence, SCMP, The New Humanitarian, The Federal, India Spend, Newslaundry, Boomlive and others.
