Hello,
At The Reporters’ Collective, we spend months digging through spreadsheets, tracking down sources, and filing RTIs to uncover truths that often remain buried in fine print. Our investigation into the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and the chaos it has unleashed on India’s electoral rolls was no different. But we know that for information to truly be power, it has to be accessible to everyone, not just those who have the time to read long-form reports.
That is why I am so excited to share our latest project with you.
I’d like to introduce you to my colleague, Alok Rajput. Alok has taken the heavy, technical findings from my reports on the Electoral Roll Project and meticulously distilled them into a Hindi video story. He has gone through every detail of how the rulebook for our democracy is being rewritten in the shadows to ensure our most salient points reach as many citizens as possible.
While we invest heavily in the investigations themselves, turning those complex stories into a visual format like this requires an immense amount of additional effort, time, and resources. We believe this work is vital because every voter deserves to understand the systems that govern their right to vote.
If you believe in making investigative journalism accessible to everyone through videos like this, we need your support. These productions are only possible because of readers like you.
