Shreegireesh journals his journey through the town of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh, which saw religious strife during the Ram Navami procession on 10th of April 2022.

What makes this violence-ridden city different from others is the response from the State Government, which illegally demolished several homes mostly belonging to one community.

Our reporter found a unusual case where a 12-year-old boy is being tried for riot damages, under a new law brought in by the Madhya Pradesh government.
